Contemporary Hall Coat Rail and shelf
This contemporary hall coat rail complete with shelf is inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20 century, it’s made from solid hand planed oak of elegant proportions. Its good looks are enhanced by square cushion faced pegs to each joint and five cast iron coat pegs in the style of CFE Voysey, a well know contributor of the Arts and Crafts movement. These cast iron coat pegs also conceal the wall fixings, complimenting the coat rails neat and timeless looks. Made from solid selected Oak, each coat rail is hand planed, prepared and finished, only when ordered. It is then signed, dated and lacquered. Your Arts and Crafts style contemporary hall coat rail will be delivered fully assembled and is supplied with all necessary wall fixings. However three of the pegs will need to be temporarily unscrewed, for fixing the hall coat rail to the wall. This is easily done with a screwdriver.
The fitted shelf on this contemporary hall coat rail measures 997 mm x 95 mm, so is generous enough to hold a clock, smart-phone, keys, or anything similar that you might need to keep handy in the hall, or by your coats. The total height of the coat rail is 250mm, while the usable size of the coat rail itself is 863mm by a height of 120mm.

Like all my furniture and accessories, these hall rails are handmade from timber grown near my workshop. This together with other ecologically friendly practices makes their carbon footprint as small as I can get it at the moment; still working on improving that
