Turning Shaker Pegs Video

This turning Shaker pegs video shows the way in which I hand turn the Oak Shaker pegs that I use in my peg rails. This is also exactly the same method I use to make the Shaker pegs that I sell loose for DIY peg rails. Of course turning is only part of the process when I make my own peg rails. They also have to be threaded, receive three coats of lacquer and a final coat of wax. It goes without saying that they receive fine abrading between each stage. This is one of the reasons why my rails are a little more expensive than most and also why they are better than many. Attention to detail takes time.
