These beautiful handcrafted Walnut Oval Shaker Boxes come in 7 different sizes. The rich tone and texture of the timber gives these boxes a truly distinctive look, that's just a little bit special!

The bountiful and majestic walnut tree gives us excellent nuts, oil, dyes and stains; in addition many medical benefits can also be had from its leaves, husks and bark. This smokey- chocolate-brown coloured timber prized and documented since Roman and the ancient Grecian times has been made into some of the worlds most beautiful artefacts.  It was a timber of choice for the Shakers and I must confess a favourite of mine.  Besides having all the practical uses and attributes of other shaker boxes these simply ask to be picked up, held and admired.
