Shaker Oval Boxes, Oak

These beautiful handcrafted Oak Oval Shaker Boxes come in 9 different sizes, the tops and bottoms are of quarter sawn oak showing the distinctive silver rays, wherever possible.

Oak is a beautiful and versatile timber, which age’s well developing lovely mellow tones over the years. I cut and select the timber to best show the wonderful silvery rays so characteristic of this tough and durable wood and always make sure that they feature either in the sides or top of each box, quite often both. These boxes are rugged enough to stand up to frequent and demanding use in the kitchen and elegant enough to grace any room. This shaker saying could have been expressly written for them:
