Furniture Care, Restoration and Conservation Materials

In response to the growing interest shown towards furniture care, renovation and conservation and numerous requests for advice on suitable products to buy. I have assembled a range of products that are both the most effective of their type, these often being the hardest to locate. Generally speaking, they are the prerogative of the professional and mostly are only found at specialised trade counters, and/or need to be bought in bulk. Those that do appear commercially are quite often, not suitable for serious conservation work, while the professional products if found, come plain wrapped, without instructions?? What to do!

potash&morterEXS.jpg (3976 octets)Well, Naturally I don't claim to have the solution to everyone’s furniture repair problems, however, I do believe the answer for a great many can be found here at my shop counter. All the conservation products I stock are of the finest professional quality and if instructions are followed, the effects of each are reversible. This is an important aspect of furniture restoration as further work may be required in future. Renaissance Wax is undoubtedly my flagship of the range, having such exceptional qualities it has many other uses outside the field of restoration. This and all of the products offered are packed in small quantities, and come with instructions for use. Some are in their original packaging, while a number of the products that have been purchased in bulk are repackaged in simple handy sized jars.

Offering these products in small quantities complete with instructions is part of my personal crusade to save our heritage from well-intentioned, but ill-advised repair. By doing so I hope you have fun and are pleased with the results. Remember if you get stuck or are unsure about a certain aspect send me an email. I’m happy to give further advice, if I can.
